12 Year Old Shoots Teen Visitor

Update: I'm sorry to share that Trevayne Cocart Cozart died of his injuries Saturday afternoon. LINK

---------

A 12 year old shot a 17 year old who was visiting the brother of the 12 year old. The 17 year old, Trevayne Cocart Cozart of Stone Mountain, was shot in the head and was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center for treatment. He is in critical condition.

The shooting occurred in the 2900 block of Centerville Highway. It's not known whether they had an argument or were just playing/experimenting with the gun, although the title of the news article by the AJC says "12-year-old accidentally shoots teen friend." A parent of the 12 year old was in the house at the time, but was not in the same room when the shooting happened.
