Aurora Theatre Lawrenceville presents 'Tranced'

From News From Lawrenceville (with some editing by me in the italics!)

This January, Aurora Theatre invites you to curl up with the fascinating psychological drama Tranced,by nationally renowned playwright and psychologist Bob Clyman. Dr. Phillip Malaad (Maurice " You Can Call Me 'Moe' " Ralston) is a highly respected psychiatrist famous for "trancing," - helping his patients uncover suppressed memories. As he trances Azmera (Naima Carter Russell), a foreign grad student, Phillip discovers a secret that may have dire consequences for an already struggling country. Phillip relies on building a relationship with an ambitious journalist who has a connection with the Director of African Affairs. As the play unfolds, the action spirals into quite an unexpected conclusion.
Aurora Theatre Funny Fridays continues club comedy on the square in downtown Lawrenceville on Friday, January 29th with the nationally renowned Bad Boy of Hypnosis, Mark Irish. Watch in fascination from the edge of your seat as Mark skillfully and tastefully guides the volunteers through a mysterious, yet fascinating tour of the unlimited potential of the human mind. Mark's keen sense of humorous scenarios is designed not embarrass the volunteers.

That's what separates him from his peers who still have people clucking like chickens. Skeptics will become believers as they witness the impossible happen right before their very own eyes. For more information on show times and ticket prices, call 678-226-6222 or visit them online at www.auroratheatre.com.

INFO: 8 pm Thursday through Saturday and 2:30 pm Saturdays and Sundays, through February 7th, with a discount matinee for $14 on February 3rd at 10 am. The Aurora Theatre is located at 128 E. Pike Street in Lawrenceville. Tickets range in price from $16 to $30.

Medieval Times to offer VIP Stable Tours

From News from Lawrenceville :

While most of the royal subjects at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament stand on their own two feet, the most celebrated members of the kingdom are best known for their trot, gallop and canter. For the first time in history, Medieval Times at Sugarloaf is offering a VIP Stable Tour, allowing guests to take a behind-the-scenes look at the luxurious life of the king's horses. When they are not performing gravity-defying jumps and stylish walks to delight castle guests, the horses of Medieval Times receive nothing less than the royal treatment. The fully-enclosed Medieval Times castle in North Atlanta is home to the 23 equine beauties that star in the legendary dinner show.

Availability is limited for the VIP Stable Tour. Reservations may be made at the castle before or during the show. The VIP Stable Tour is $10 dollars in addition to admission and includes a commemorative backstage pass.
