"The roads are generally passable, but there are patches of ice that are causing vehicles to slide and not be able to continue. This is creating a road hazard.
It would be much better for everyone to remain home for another day. D.O.T. has been called about the conditions, but there is no telling how long it will take for them to help. Our city public works people have been phenomenal and have helped every way they can."
~Snellville Police Chief Roy Whitehead on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.
(Highway 78 and Scenic Hwy/124 are under Georgia Department of Transportation's responsibility for road conditions)
