Once a month at their offices in Snellville, a local business offers free shredding of documents. Shred-Green, located on McGee Road will shred 2 bankers boxes (same as copier paper boxes) worth of documents. Usually, the company has the event on a Saturday, but this month it will be done on a Friday.
WHEN: Friday, July 22, 2011; 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
WHERE: Shred Green, 2140 McGee Rd in the Fountain Square Shopping Center (McGee Road is off of US78.)
"If people want to do more than those boxes, they are welcome to bring more we just charge $4 a box. Someone will be in our parking lot with our truck at the Fountain Square Business center between those hours and your documents will be shredding on site."
IF YOU GO: You do not have to remove paper clips or staples or file folders. Shred Green would prefer you do NOT bring your materials to be shredded in bags, but they can weigh it in their truck. Shred Green will shred 50 pounds of papers for free and anything more than that is 15 cents per pound.
Shred Green will have another free shredding event on Saturday, August 6 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
