As you can see, it's quite a nice upgrade.Here is an aerial view of the property, with the black lines as the estimated property lines Thanks to Brenda Lee (one of My Snellville Blog's readers on Facebook) for these photos! The business on the left is the Quik-Trip convenience store. The intersection is Rockdale Circle and US-78.
Oh, boy. Pawn shops. Perhaps we could have a "Pawn Stars: Snellville" show.
ReplyDeleteThe pawn shop in the first photo already exists in Snellville. That one would be replaced by the building that's in the second photo, but in a different location in Snellville (near the QT on US78). The pawn shop in the first picture has been in business and on good terms in the City of Snellville since 1994. The number of pawn shops in Snellville would not be increasing.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for enhancing the cityscape with better looking buildings, so I don't have a problem with the pawn shop upgrading their digs. I DO have a problem with the (yet another) new car wash that's going in right on the street under the giant oak tree at Snellville Oaks (where the movies are). The tree will probably die of shame. I wish the city would start requiring
