Looking for an opportunity to serve others over the summer break? Then Summer Lunch is for you! We are launching a new program in partnership with Must Ministries this summer. We are targeting kids who participate in the free and reduced lunch program through their school and who lose this resource when school is not in session.
We are still looking for volunteers in the following areas:
If you would like to pledge lunches, I will forward you a menu and a set of lunch guidelines. Please feel free to pass this information along to any other church or civic organization that may be interested in pledging lunches this summer.
If you would like to make in-kind donations, we are always accepting food items and lunch packing items such as ziploc bags, sandwich bags, individually-wrapped snack items, peanut butter, jelly, juice boxes, water bottles, etc. Also, if your small group would like to donate "fruit for a day" Three Peas in a Pod in Loganville has agreed to sell us fruit at case pricing. He only needs 24 hours notice. If you do want to donate fruit, we will need 400 pieces per day.
If you would like to volunteer at the host site, we still need drivers, day leaders, and checkers and packers.
