Three churches will co-host the July 4th fireworks and festivities called American Celebration 2008, in Snellville.
The free event will be hosted by First Baptist Snellville, Snellville United Methodist, and Westminister Presbyterian churches.
The fun will begin at
There will be live music, a car show, free food, and for the kids - rides, face painting, cotton candy, and inflatables.
The location will be Main Street Snellville/Henry Clower Blvd.

Mayor Jerry Oberholtzer says in his blog that he'll be on the Snellville "Front Lawn" in front of City Hall for this event with his family, and invites you to come by and say hello.
I hope we will have good weather. I remember last year we were all very disappointed by a severe thunderstorm that rolled in at the very worst time!
The Weather Channel says:
"Except for a few afternoon clouds, mainly sunny.
A stray afternoon thunderstorm is possible. High 91F."
