- Are you worried about a family member or friend who has, or may have, an addiction?
- Do you wish you could safely and confidentially talk about your own addiction without being judged?
- Are you wondering how or when to talk to your child about drugs and alcohol?
The Faith Partners team ministry concept was developed over many years by the Johnson Institute in Texas. The Institute determined that churches were the ideal places for faith and science to come together to treat the epidemic of addiction disease. Faith Partners ministries now operate in churches in many states.
At Snellville United Methodist Church, Faith Partners has four goals:
- To create a healing environment where addictions can be discussed openly, without judgment.
- To provide sound educational materials and events
- To offer specific support, assistance and referral resources to individuals and families
- To recognize and honor successful recovery.
