City Councilman Robert Jenkins got peeved when he was told he had to abide by code laws just like the rest of us and clean up his yard. He had an old toilet sitting out in his yard. What a nice view that had to be for neighbors!
The story about a city councilman with a toilet in his yard being used as a planter made Snellville a nationwide joke. Unfortunately pushed forward the stereotype of Snellville as a southern redneck hick town. Not exactly the sort of story on the web that promotes prosperity for a city.
I got a good laugh out of this. Hey, why not use it? Why put this toilet in the landfill? It can be spruced up even more with some paint. You can get paint for ceramics at Hobby Lobby or Joann Etc. Maybe Robert Jenkins can become the Howard Finster of Snellville. This would really bring in tourism. If Mr. Jenkins doesn't want to paint it, I volunteer to paint it. Maybe we can get it designated as a historical marker.
