Topping the list were discussions about moving forward with a town center, tackling a $1.1 million budget shortfall and repairing the city's reputation for political infighting.
The two-day retreat was held at Eastside Physicians Plaza in Snellville.
City Council member Tom Witts had this to say about the retreat:
"Spent the last 2 days at the City council retreat with the Mayor, Council, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk. Snellville's new Team of Leaders is on the move. Your going to be proud to be "Somebody in Snellville". Vision, passion and commitment were very evident and we poltted our strategy for taking Snell...ville into the future. Get involved and become part of it."

Darla,
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting my comments about the council retreat. As I stated, The Team of Leaders will not be sidetracked from doing the best for Snellville and our citizens. The majority of the council does not bicker over achieving our goals. We resolve the objections of those that do and then carry on the mission that we were elected to accomplish.
