I went to Kroger at Rosebud Road and US78 today and found they have new grocery carts that have entertainment for kids.Below is the screen that the parent sees. The content of the parent's screen is different from the child's.
The parent controls which program will show for the child. The choices are all Disney - Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse, Handy Manny, and Special Agent Oso. While my son watched a couple of those, I was shown ads for products moms would be interested in, like Dove.
As you can see, there isn't a lot of leg space for kids. My son is 4-1/2 but tall for his age. There is room for two children if they are small enough (seat belts for two children.)
We did a small grocery trip, but my son was kept very happy because of this cart. There's part of me that wonders why we have to keep our kids entertained 24/7, but what the heck, this was fun.
