"We learned at last night's City Council meeting that the now internationally famous "snail" Christmas ornaments will be sold at Saturday's market, beginning at 10 AM. The word is that the ornaments will arrive in a Snellville Police Department armoured car! Better be there if you want a chance of getting one of these limited edition treasures."
We had originally been told that the 2010 Snellville Christmas Ornament would be sold this morning at Snellville City Hall if the Sunday sales issue passed. As you probably know, it DID pass (resoundingly!).
I've heard from people who have been to City Hall to purchase an ornament, and have been told it won't be sold today. So I called Tom Witts of the Snellville City Council and told him about this problem.
He apologized and said that the sale of the ornament will have to be an item of discussion at the Snellville City Council meeting on Monday, and unless there are any difficulties, the ornament will be able to be sold on or after July 31, 2010.
I would also like to apologize if I have added to any of the confusion about this. It wasn't intentional, and I've now decided I want a snail ornament too!
Tom Witts has promised to keep me updated about the snail ornament, so I will keep you informed too as I hear more information.
UPDATE: "Snaily's memorial ornament will be on sale Saturday morning at 10:00 o'clock. they will be delivered to the farmers' mkt by armored car after being picked up from their secret location." ~Tom Witts
