Local church spreads joy to nursing home residents

Snellville First Baptist Church has a unique idea to bring joy to people in local nursing homes and assisted care living facilities. They are having "Christmas in July."

In different areas of the church, there are Christmas trees set up with colored tags hanging on them. Each tag will have a senior adult's name and 2 "wish list" items listed on it.

You are invited to participate by removing a tag from a tree, purchase one or more of the listed gifts, and return them wrapped. Place the gift(s) under one of the trees, making sure you have attached the original gift tag to the outside of the gift. wrapping.

If you would like to help supply Christmas in July, the church needs the packages returned no later than Sunday, July 11th.
