What will this mean for Snellville?
SB-10 (Sunday alcohol sales) has now passed both the State House and Senate and will go to Governor Deal for his signature. Snellville Mayor Jerry Oberholtzer says, "If that happens as expected, I will recommend to the City Council that we place the referendum on this ballot for this November's Snellville City Elections."
Q: "What's this all about? I thought Snellville passed Sunday sales."
A: That was Sunday sales of alcohol in Snellville restaurants. SB-10 is about allowing people to be able to decide on a local level whether they'll allow the sale of beer, wine & liquor on Sundays in stores.
There is a Facebook group for people interested in advancing the cause of Sunday sales in Georgia. Georgians for Sunday Sales.
