Storms Possibly Headed Toward Us

The storms that hit hard in Arkansas may cause trouble here.

"A strong cold front that spawned overnight tornadoes in Arkansas is headed toward Georgia, and could bring isolated severe storms to metro Atlanta Friday afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service warned that there's a slight risk of severe weather across much of the state, with the primary hazards being damaging winds, large hail and lightning."

Canadian air blows into Snellville GA; Effects on Georgia dialect may be heard

Keep your ears open for phrases like "take off, eh?"
and "get lost, ya hoser" as this Canadian air blows into Snellville tonight.

Can't afford that Alaskan cruise? I can't either....I plan to breathe deeply and maybe it will be almost as good.
"...COLD...WINDY WEATHER EXPECTED THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

A STRONG COLD FRONT WAS MOVING THROUGH GEORGIA THIS EVENING. THIS
FRONT AND A STRONG UPPER-LEVEL DISTURBANCE...BROUGHT THE
WIDESPREAD STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS TO NORTH AND CENTRAL
GEORGIA THIS MORNING. MUCH COLDER...CANADIAN AIR WILL NOW SPREAD
INTO THE AREA AS A DEEP UPPER TROUGH EVOLVES ALONG THE EASTERN
SEABOARD."

Snow in Snellville (Maybe)

There's a 90 percent chance of a mixture of rain, sleet and snow for Wednesday night, with lows in the low 30s, according to the AJC....story here

It's sure to be an "interesting" commute Thursday morning.

In Snellville, prayer returned to public schools, where children of all ages lifted up to the Lord their fervent prayers for a snow day.

If you stock up on bread and milk in sheer panic - Kroger has a really good deal on bread right now, they have the Sara Lee white bread on sale for $1 a loaf, as part of their 10 for $10 sale.

Our freakishly warm weather

Can you believe how warm it is? It was about 78 degrees on Sunday, but I thought that was just a fluke...but it's continued to be warm! It's been about 76 today.

Really strange, isn't it?

Are you doing anything special to take advantage of the warm weather?

It sure makes it hard to "think Christmas!"

Snellville News

Sorry I haven't been posting here a lot. Typical summer with the kids outta school.

The news from Snellville is that it's hot, humid, and the A/C in my car is broken beyond repair.
It is really fun to pack the kids into that Ford oven.
I can't wait for fall!

UPDATE: 3:21 pm it's going to rain.
