Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation's publication Gwinnett L.I.F.E. is limiting the paper/printed edition and the issue can be found online. The print edition will no longer be mailed to residents.
Well hey, whenever Gwinnett County wants to save money, that's fine by me. They don't have to call it "going green," but it's okay with me if they do -- I suppose it gets more people with the program. However, we are sometimes caught off-guard when something we've always gotten in the mail suddenly "goes green."
Case in point, we've always received the Gwinnett L.I.F.E. magazine from Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation in the mail, but now you need to register to get email alerts of new class and event offerings and to read the newest issue online.
If you don't want the online edition, you can pick up a free copy at Gwinnett County public park facilities or libraries and other Gwinnett County government facilities. Copies are also available at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, the Gwinnett Convention and Visitor's Bureau or the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center.
Here's where to get it online: http://www.gwinnettcounty.com/portal/gwinnett/Departments/CommunityServices/ParksandRecreation/GwinnettLIFE
As a side note, if you've ever wondered why you never see Briscoe Park mentioned when you read Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation information, that's because Briscoe Park is a park operated by the City of Snellville and not by Gwinnett County.
