Beginning at 3 p.m., the Snellville Towne Green opposite City Hall will come alive with the sounds of live bands, culminating with the Celebration Orchestra from First Baptist performing patriotic songs, including Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture during the fireworks show.
In addition, you'll be able to purchase food provided by Texas Roadhose, the Varsity, Bruster’s Ice Cream, Rey’s Cuban Cafe and C&D Concessions. Guests will be able to participate in activities including watermelon and pie eating contests.
This video isn't in Snellville (as far as I know) but it's a good example of how amazing the 1812 Overture is with fireworks :)
American Celebration at Snellville First Baptist Church
Across Main Street, First Baptist of Snellville will again host their American Celebration, featuring a car show from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., inflatable rides and games, food from restaurants including Uncle Betty's and Papa John's. Snellville First Baptist Church's website said, "Some of our finest Snellville Police officers will be on site at both celebrations and will assist pedestrians across Hwy. 78."At dusk, the skies light up with an incredible fireworks display. Sunset is expected at about 8:50 p.m.
