Snellville Board of Appeals agenda items

The Department of Planning and Development has received an application for variance from Ulta Cosmetics and Salon to increase the allowable maximum for wall signage. The retail store is located in Snellville Plaza at 2059 Scenic Highway, Suite 107. The applicant is proposing to install a new wall sign and three awnings totaling ±529.625 square feet. The Board of Appeals is set to hear the case on February 9th, 2010.

The Department of Planning and Development has received an application for variance from Huddle House Incorporated at 2358 Main Street East to be allowed to vary from the requirements of the Landscape Ordinance and the Sign Ordinance. The applicant wants to reopen the store and close the entrance on Main Street. The applicant is also requesting that they be allowed to keep the non-conforming pylon sign and install some new wall signage on the building. The Board of Appeals is set to hear the case on February 9th, 2010.

The Department of Planning and Development has received an application for variance from Harbour Oaks Montessori School at 1700 Main Street East to be allowed to keep livestock on the parcel adjacent to their development. The applicant insists that the farm animals, (3 goats, a pot belly pig, couple of rabbits and a few ducks), are used for educational resources and are an invaluable asset to the students. The Board of Appeals is set to hear the case on February 9th, 2010.
