Snellville Planning Commission news

From Snellville's January Monthly Report:

The Department of Planning and Development received an application for a Conditional Use Permit from Paul Slifko, owner of Hill Top Pawn, to construct a new building adjacent to the Quick Trip on East Main Street, (Highway 78). The Planning Commission is set to hear the case on January 25, 2010. The Mayor and Council will conduct a 1st reading on February 8th 2010, with a public hearing on February 22nd, 2010.

The Department of Planning and Development received an application for a Conditional Use Permit from Good News Haitian Church to operate a church at 2138 Fountain Square, (Fountain Square Shopping Center). The Planning Commission is set to hear the case on January 25, 2010. The Mayor and Council will conduct a 1st reading on February 8th 2010, with a public hearing on February 22nd, 2010.

The Department of Planning and Development received an application for a rezoning from Canaan Land Church International to operate a church at 3005 Lenora Church Road. The applicant has proposed to rezone the property from OP (Office Professional) to CI (Civic Institutional). The applicant plans to occupy two existing buildings and utilize the existing parking lot. The Planning Commission is set to hear the case on February 23rd, 2010.The Mayor and Council will conduct a 1st reading on March 8th, 2010 with a public hearing on March 23rd, 2010.

The Department of Planning and Development received an application for rezoning from Emory Eastside Medical Campus for plans to expand the current facilities and make the entire property one contiguous zoning classification. The applicant is requesting to rezone several parcels from BG (General Business) and HSB (Highway Service Business) to CI (Civic Institutional). The Planning Commission is set to hear the case on February 23rd, 2010. The Mayor and Council will conduct a 1st reading on March 8th, 2010 with a public hearing on March 23rd, 2010.
