Yard Sale for a Cause

I am sad to share that Alex lost his courageousbattle with leukemia the morning of July 15,2010. Our condolences to Alex's family.

A second yard sale to raise funds for Alex Blaker and his mother with hospital and living expenses will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010, from 8 am until 3 pm. Alex is a teenager who is fighting Acute Myeoletic Leukemia. I've written about Alex before, and you can see photos and more information about the previous sale here. About $2,000 was raised, but as you can imagine, it helps but it doesn't go far.

The new sale will be held on Wayne Drive in Snellville, off Dogwood Road. It is near Brookwood High School. If you need to log the location in your gps device, the address is in the 2700 block of Wayne Drive, Snellville, 30078.

If you click on the picture of the flier above, it will enlarge. Please feel free to print out the double flier and share this information with friends.

Thank You Snellville for your support
This has been so hard on the family
I would like to add that any one can be a bone marrow doner .So many children and adults can use this the doner list is smaller than those whom need the treatment .I have done this .It's a easy test just swab your mouth and send back to bone marrow registery.GOD BLESS and THANK YOU

It has been hard on the family and as a friend of the family I know their struggles. The mom can not work because she is responsible for the care of Alex and she gets very little support and does have a part time job. Alex's mom is a teacher and just started working as a sub, then Alex got sick again. there are many parents and single parents that face this same situation and no help is to be found.
I thank Darla for her support and the community and friends that came out to the last fund raiser. We need to come together as a community to help all we can in need

Any donations to help Alex support his mom would be nice
