Snellville comes together for a cause

I am sad to share that Alex lost his courageous battle with leukemia the morning of July 15,2010. Our condolences to Alex's family.

The "Yard Sale for a Cause" to benefit Snellville teen Alex Blaker and his family was a huge success, writes Alex's grandmother, Joyce Morgan. The sale was held in the parking lot of Snellville Animal Hospital yesterday.

"The Yard Sale for a cause was a great success, we raised close to 2,000 dollars for Alex Blaker and his mom Michele (Shelly). There will be another fund raiser in about 2 weeks and I don't have the address right now of the lady who is letting us use her garage and yard.

Thank you again Darla for putting in the announcement in the blog. Alex and Mom could not attend because Alex was admitted into the hospital on Thursday.
Hopefully he will be able to come home in a few days.

God bless you!

In Christ's Love
Joyce Morgan"
Here are some pictures Joyce sent in, so everyone who helped could see Alex, his mom Michele, and the rest of the family:

Kayla's in the back, doing the usual thing kids do in the back of a photo. :)
