Reminder about Snellville Farmers Market

The Snellville Farmers' Market will be held at Snellville City Hall every Saturday from June 5 through October. The time will be 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Snellville City Hall is located at 2342 Oak Road, at the corner of Oak Road and Highway 78.

Enjoy everything that's fresh, local, and in season, such as -

Farm fresh eggs
Meats
Artisan breads and baked goods
Herbs
Jams and jellies
Honey
Fresh flowers
Live plants
Natural lotions and soaps
Handcrafted culinary arts

I'm especially happy to see honey on this list. I have read that if you eat just about a tablespoon of honey each day, it will help your body fight allergies. But here's the deal - for this to work, the honey must come from your local area (because the bees have gone from flower to flower where you are.) If you eat honey from Michigan bees, for example, that won't help your allergies here in Georgia. I've tried finding Georgia honey at local grocery stores. I did find some at Kroger one time, but it was extremely expensive.

So I'll be at the Snellville Farmer's Market to get my honey, honey.
