Snellville Days Festival

There will be a free concert on Saturday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Briscoe Park.

"Bringing Families Together” is the theme of the 38th Annual Snellville Days Parade and Festival this weekend, May 7th and 8th. It’s an appropriate theme, since Snellville Days has been bringing families together since it’s inception in 1974. In it’s 37 years of existence, Snellville Days has become one of Metro Atlanta’s largest arts and crafts festivals attracting artists and craftsmen from all over the southeast. It is estimated that 15,000 to 20,000 people will attend the festival this year at beautiful Briscoe Park in the heart of Snellville.

Snellville Days festivities kick off on Saturday morning, May 7th at 10 a.m. in the Towne Center of
Snellville at the intersection of Highway 78 and Oak Road with the Grand Parade. The route will start at
Wisteria Village Shopping Center, wind along Wisteria Drive to North Road and then along Oak Road
back to the City Hall reviewing stand.

This year’s Grand Marshall is not a person but an organization that serves thousands of local families with food and assistance -The Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry. Please plan to support this great ministry by bringing cans of food to the Parade or the Festival in Briscoe Park.

After the Parade festival patrons may enjoy all of the great activities arrayed before them throughout
T. W. Briscoe Park on Lenora Church Road from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. There they will find two jam-packed days of fellowship, live entertainment on multiple stages, over 150 exhibitors, specialty food concessions, kid’s activities and rides.

A new feature this year will be the Skin and Bones Comedy Circus, which will be perform 6 shows over the weekend. Sunday, the Festival opens at 10 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m.

As the festival activities wind down Saturday evening, the Main Stage will be heating up for the FREE
live Saturday evening concert. Taking the stage at 6:30 p.m. will be Snellville’s own Amber Mason,
who recently won the COVERGIRL Queen “L” Collection “Ignite Your Persona” competition. Headlining
the concert this year will be the popular country music group, Restless Heart. Six number one hits on the country charts and nine in the top ten have made Restless Heart a household name. Families are encouraged to claim their spots on the lawn early with chairs and blankets. As always, delicious concessions will be available for purchase.

So come early and stay late on Saturday, May 7th and Sunday, May 8th (what a great treat for Mom on
Mother’s Day) for Snellville’s 38th Annual Snellville Days Festival and Parade.
