I haven't been to see the exhibit yet, but I really haven't
thought of it as being an anti-war display. I think of it as
a way to remember that each person was a person,
not just a number. They were people with families who
had names and lives - so that they will not be just
statistics in our hearts and minds. I think that the
criticisms could have been avoided by asking the
families if it would be okay for their son or daughter's
name to be used. Just the simple act of asking
shows more respect.
