Have you heard about this new product from Amazon called Kindle? It's an electronic book - actually, a TON of books can be stored in it.
In the years I worked for Waldenbooks (1985-1996) there was a lot of talk in the publishing industry about how people in the future would read books on the computer.
Those of us who like to read in bed and the book purists felt that that would never happen - that some people would like reading on the computer, but for a lot of us it wouldn't be convenient. There's just something really nice about being able to lie in bed and read, and you can't do that with a computer! (or so we thought.) We could be a bit of the literary snobs, even at Waldenbooks ;)
Now with this Kindle, people can read in bed and yet have incredible amounts of information at their fingertips. It even has wireless capability, so readers can enjoy blogs with it too! Just amazing.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more coverage of this product. Amazon is currently sold out and they recommend pre-ordering to reserve your place in line. The good thing about Amazon is, they won't charge your credit card until the product is actually shipped to you.
Do you know anyone who has one?
What they oughta do is come out with a Kindle holder for the handlebar of the Segway. That would be sweeeeet...until we ride into a fire hydrant.
