Loganville Home Invasion

This occurred very close to Snellville...I don't mean to cut and paste the whole article, but I feel it's important to get this news out. You can read my "Cliffs Notes" version below, or read the entire original article at: The Loganville Tribune - Home Invasion

Assailants at large:

The white male was approximately 5 feet 10 to 6 feet, brown hair and a thin build – possibly 130 to 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a pair of navy blue or dark blue shorts and a white T-shirt,” Westbrooks said.

The other assailant was a black male, possibly 14 to 18 years of age, approximately 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9, with a small frame, about 130 – 140 pounds. He had a tattoo on his right arm and he was last seen wearing blue-jean, knee length shorts and a dark colored shirt.

The Home Invasion Details:

According to Loganville police detective Sgt. Mike Westbrooks, patrolmen responded to a 9-1-1 call just after 2 a.m. Tuesday from a home at [removed] Spring Moore Court in the Breckenridge Subdivision on the Gwinnett side of the city.

“Two armed assailants had approached the homeowner who was sitting in his garage at the time and asked him to give them all his money,” Westbooks said. “He is an Asian man who speaks little English and when he tried to tell them he had no money, they physically attacked him and dragged him into the house at gunpoint. They then rounded up the other members of the family — a wife and two sons — and held them in one room at gunpoint while the house was ransacked. They eventually got about $1,600 in cash, a pink cell phone that belonged to the female member of the family and a play station belonging to one of the kids.”

Westbrooks said the assailants then forced the homeowner to turn over the keys to his Toyota Avalon and left in the vehicle. An officer responding to the 9-1-1 call, armed with a description of the vehicle, passed it on Old Loganville Road and turned around to give chase.

“The assailants turned into Foxbury Commons off Old Loganville Road and ended up wrecking the vehicle,” Westbrooks said. “They jumped out and fled on foot and are still at large.
