If you love your books, set them free
If you have books that you'd like to give away, you sign up (it's free) and then tag your books with an ID number. You leave them behind at places you visit, for someone else to find them...and hopefully, enjoy! Someone finds the book, enters the ID number into the website and learns all about BookCrossing, and hopefully they will participate too.
It's been so long since I've been to BookCrossing.com.
I signed up, and gave away a few books but then I got busy and forgot about it for awhile.
It looks like they've added a lot more interactive features...you can review a book that you are "releasing" into the wild....or into the local Starbucks!
BookCrossing books in Snellville locations
It's fun for people to find a book they can read for free, and great for people who read a lot to feel they've given someone else a book to enjoy (and decluttered their house at the same time.)
Scha-weet.
