Snellville outdoor burning regulations

I'm sorry to be a little late posting this, but decided to go ahead and post it so it will do us all some good to be able to find this information on the laws regarding outdoor burning in Gwinnett County.
-----
Burning is allowed in Gwinnett from October 1 to April 30, with exception of certain 'no burn' days.

Rules on burning in Gwinnett:
  • Allowed during daylight hours only, Monday through Saturday.
  • Only naturally-fallen vegetation, like tree limbs, leaves, and twigs can be burned.
  • Burning trash is forbidden.
  • Burning must be in smll piles, no larger than 3 feet by 3 feet.
  • Burn pile should be at least 50 feet away from any structure.
  • The fire pile must be constantly supervised and a water source available that can reach the pile.
  • The pile must be completely extinguished before dusk.
Restrictions:
  • Burning not allowed if winds exceed 15 MPH.
  • No burning allowed on overcast, rainy or foggy days, or within 24 hours of rain.
  • Burning not allowed if a representative of the fire department or Fire Marshal's office determines that the burn is offensive to others or poses health risks.
Visit www.GwinnettFireMarshal.com or burn information line at 678-518-4979 for more information.
