Rep. Brett Harrell (R-Snellville) says Gwinnett County homeowners now have their garbage pickup costs tacked onto their tax bills, something that has been done in DeKalb County for years. In his hometown of Snellville, stormwater fees have also been added.
"I just don't think it's proper that you risk a lien... or in the extreme, the loss of your home... over these fees," he tells WSB's Sandra Parrish.
He says governments should instead bill the fees separately.
